Happy House kids, Brian Hayward and Dulla, have been busy helping in the garden. With no rain for 19 weeks and temperatures soaring, everyone is hoping that the rains will come soon and in the meantime are preparing the ground and planting crops. As wood ash can increase soil fertility and raise soil pH, we keep the ashes from our wood burning oven and the two boys have been spreading them on the gardens. Now we just hope that it will rain very soon.
