Sisters, Elizabeth and Zawadi, joined our Happy House family eight months ago, ,The two girls, entrusted to our care through children’s services department, had been living with their grandfather in the interior of Kalifi County which is suffering from two years of extreme drought. ,The children, were left with their grandpa when their mum went look for work. She didn’t return and with the old man unable to cope, they had been on the streets in search of food and water. ,Elizabeth and Zawadi spoke only their tribal tongue with are now speaking English and enjoying life, with lots of friends and fun, at both in our Happy House home and school. Here they are with teacher Madam Elizabeth.
