Our Happy House kids finally went back to school yesterday, after an enforced extended holiday. ,Kenya postponed the reopening of its schools due to ongoing flooding caused by heavy rains, as flood-related deaths since mid-March in the country neared 100. ,Some schools remained adversely affected by the flooding, the Education Ministry said . ,Local media reported that more than 100 schools were flooded, some with collapsed walls and roofs blown away. ,Watamu was not affected by the flooding but with schools closed nationwide, our children had to stay at home at Happy House. ,So our teachers, including Janet, went to them to assist them in brushing up on any areas of weakness.
