We at Happy House are blessed to have such devoted and generous friends. Betty Hatch, our Aunty Betty from Essex, is one of them. ,Betty discovered Happy House several years ago after her son Paul visited Watamu and she became a sponsor. ,Then they started sending parcels, Betty loves shopping for our kids, and she has sent dozens of parcels since of beautiful clothing and shoes that shehas managed to buy at baragin prices. ,It was a huge joy to Mama Sue and Papa Dave when Betty was finally able to make the trip to Watamu, with Paul, and to visit and to get to know the family. ,She and Mama became firm friends and were often in touch. This year when Betty wanted to make a sizeable donation Mama said what we needed most was a new bus and that is what we got. ,We have had it since July, but because of the tragic death of Mama, we haven’t posted any news about about it until today. ,It’s absolutely perfect and Papa and the children re very proud to show it off to you. We are deeply indebted to Aunty Betty and to Paul. We love them and hope they will be able to visit us again soon.
