The area around Watamu faces a significant problem with microplastics pollution along its coastline so it is important to keep the beaches free of plastic waste before it degrades and damages the ocean and its marine life.
As they are on a half-term holiday some of our Happy House children have been out on a beach clean led by our school head teacher, Mr Dan.
It’s a chance for them to play an active role in the community and to keep their environment looking good and the sea clean.
