Happy House was very touched to welcome, Beatrice, a Rotarian from Nairobi who made an emotional journey to Watamu following the death of her daughter, Victoria, in January. ,Victoria had loved Watamu and its children and had asked her mother to domate her belongings to a cause in Watamu and that led her to find Happy House. ,Beatrice, along with other members of her Rotary family, including the district governor, brought many wonderful gifts for our own family in memory of her Victoria. ,In thanking them, Papa Dave mentioned the strong bond that our charity has had with Rotary since the beginning 23 years ago, and in how the efforts of Rotary Clubs in the UK, starting in Fleetwood, had played a huge role in helping us tp raise the money for our Happy House. ,We hope now to build on a new friendship with Rotary in Kenya, and close to home in Watamu, following the visit from Beatrice and her friends. ,We are so sorry for your loss, Beatrice, and are so grateful that the love of your daughter brought you to us. You will always be welcome at Happy House.
