A warm welcome for the Websters

A warm welcome greeted our long awaited visitors when they arrived at Happy House. After Covid-enforced cancellations, Louise and Gary Webster and their daughters ,Grace and Alice, are finally back in Watamu and so thrilled to be able to see our family at last. ,Everyone gathered on the steps to sing them in as Papa Dave drove them to the door. The Webster family, from Yorkshire, have been involved with our charity since before the Happy House was built. They fell in love with Kenya whilst there on honeymoon and wanted to do more to help its children in need and got in touch with Sue asking to help,When the happy House was being built Louise made many lovely blankets and she and Gary also started paying a monthly sponsorship to help finish and furnish the building, knowing they would be allocated a child as soon as the children started arriving. Evans, Janet and Oscar were our first group of siblings and Oscar became their sponsor child – he is their elder daughter, Grace’s, Happy House “twin” as their share the same birth date. For many years Louise volunteered sending out details of sponsor children to all new sponsors. We hope the family has a lovely time catching up with Papa Dave and all our family and with their many friends in Watamu.
