Our sponsors and donors will have received an email from Papa Dave at the Happy House this week.
It informs you that unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, our 27 year history of banking with Santander is coming to a close next Wednesday, August 28.
Our trustees have been working tirelessly to get a new account in place by that date but it has been impossible to synchronise the two and there will be a lapse between one account closing and another opening.
Because of this it is imperative that you cancel your standing orders or any other arrangements you have to donate with Santander for sponsorship or donations by that date. Also any payments made via JustGiving should be cancelled as the two accounts are linked.
If you wish you may make your donations for sponsorship via the PayPal link on our website www.childrenofwatamu.net – it would be a huge relief to us if you did!
It’s been an incredibly difficult and time consuming task for Papa Dave, our administrator, Rose, and our trustees, particulary treasurer, Chloe Groves. and vice-chair Phil Marshall, to get everything in place for this change.
We hope you will understand and bear with us.
You will receive an email with our new bank details just as soon as we have them so that you can put your arrangements for payment in place.
It would also be helpful if you could let Happy House know that you have received the email sent out this week.
