Yesterday, it was a 130k cycle ride over tough terrain, today it’s a nine day high altitude trek in Nepal … the Happy House certainly inspires people to reach new heights.
Will Langran, 17, a sixth form student at Uppingham School, Rutland, is our latest adventurer to take on a tough physical challenge.
He and his aunt, Gillian, set out later this week for the trek from Jomsom to Mustang.
Will, from Essex, says: ” This is a 9 day trek at some very high altitudes. The highest point reaching 4070m. I will be staying in tents along the way and the highest camp is a place called Lo Manthang which is at 3735m.
“I am undertaking this trek in order to push myself to new heights to help secure the basic needs of others. The children the Happy House helps are orphaned, abandoned or abused.
