Amaizing time ahead

The ground in the Happy House garden was tilled and all ready for the arrival of theshort rains. And as soon as they started our gardener, Uncle Tevin, had maize seed at the ready.

Maize is a staple crop in Kenya as it grows quickly and is soon harvested and when ground into flour is the basis of ugali which is a staplefood.

Our children have discovered how maize tastes on the cob and so when we get to harvest the crop will go straight to our kitchen to help feed our family.
