For Happy House youngster, Mwende, 2025 is an important year. It is her final year in high school with exams at the end of it which will be the gateway to her future.
Mwende was one of the first children to join our family in 2010 when she was just a toddler. She has grasped the opportunities that life in our family have offered to her and always does her best.
She also has strong links with her birth family in the north of Kenya.
She’s a brilliant big sister to the younger children and in this video she is taking the braid out Esther’s hair (a painstaking task) ready to get new braids done.
We look forward to seeing where life will take Mwende in future.
