In 2023, when the Junior Secondary School system is introduced in Kenya, Happy House is ready to ensure a smooth transition for existing pupils and is looking forward to welcoming new ones. Having been approved by Government education officials to offer Junior Secondary education, students in Year Six will be able to move on internally. We already have a Primary School of eight classes, so the reduction to six classes in primary with the introduction of the three tier system, would have meant losing two year groups had we not decided to offer Junior Secondary as an option. We had to add some extra facilities to qualify and were delighted to pass inspection with flying colours after meeting all the requirements. Our joiner, Uncle Charo, and Uncle Ibrahim who are both on our maintenance team are now busy ensuring everything will be perfect for our first junior secondary classes when they open in January.
