Excitement was at fever pitch by the time Father Christmas arrived at Happy House, accompanied by Mother Christmas. At Happy House we have always advocated girl power because we operate in a country where women and girls often take a back seat. It’s important that girls and boys realise they are equals and grow up respecting each other, sharing skills and that neither should ever feel inferior because of their gender. Father and Mother Christmas sat together to hand out gifts to each of our children, assisted by our social worker Auntie Elina.
