Four little people find a new home at Happy House

Once again the Happy House family has opened it hearts to children desperately in need of a secure home after suffering a family tragedy. The four little siblings were brought to us by the children’s officer in the Bamba district of Kalifi County, after the sudden death of their mother.Emmanuel Ushindi , aged six, Stephen Baraka, four, and their baby twin sisters Precious Neema and Patience Mapenzi were left in the sole care of their dad after their mum died.Traumatised by his loss he was struggling to meet their every day needs, especially as his wife had been the family’s main breadwinner while he relied on casual work when, and if, he could get it.Now the the children will stay with us for as long as they need to and are settling in well with the love and help of their 50 new “brothers and sisters” who are all keen to make them feel welcome, settled and to show them around.Auntie Elina, our Happy House social worker, introduces the children in our video. We desperately need to find people who would like to sponsor the new children to help us to provide them with a safe and loving home and an excellent education. It costs £20 a month to sponsor a child.
