Half way there

Today, Papa Dave says a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our Happy House Safe and Sound Appeal which aims to raise £8,600 to replace our Happy House roof. ,We are now half awy to our target which, in just a few weeks, is brilliant news. ,The thatched roof, rendered beyond repair by unprecedented rains at the end if last year, is now replaced but we still have to meet the full cost. ,Papa also tells us about the outbreak of Red Eye a highly contagious eye infection that is making national headlines in Kenya and which is affecting children in our family, ,Those who have it are on medication and being kept isolated to try to prevent the spread of infection. ,Hopefully, it will be all over soon and everyone will be able to mingle as usual. ,Safe and Sound Appeal ,We are desperately trying to raise £8,600 to meet the cost of an entire new roof for our children’s home. ,Damage done by prolonged and torrential rains late last year rendered our makuti thatched rood beyond repair and unsafe, so we are replacing it with a streel roof but have to find the money to pay for it. ,Please can you help us? ,You could arrange a fundraiser in your area.
