In two days time, on March 17, the Happy House will be celebrating it’s 12th birthday. How far we have come since our beloved Mama Sue achieved her vision of opening what she wanted to be a very special home for children in need. She had worked so hard, gathered s many loyal supporters, on her road to the Happy House and had encounteres so many obstacles, and shed many tears, too. But the man who was her rock, her adored husband Dave, was the one who dried her tears and boosted her spirits when they were low. This year is the first anniversary since Mama’s sudden passing lasy July. Since that time Papa, although heartbroken, has settled into the role steering the Happy House on a steady course – supported by a brilliant management team and charity trustees. And birthdays are not something Papa Dave will let pass uncelebrated. On Thursday he has plans to ensure our children will mark the Happy House birthday. He tells us about them here and leads a group of our children in singing Happy Birthday.
