Our Happy House Papa Dave is smiling from ear to ear! He has two reasons to be a very happy man and, of course, one is soccer related. His team, Leeds United, have stayed up in the Premiership. But more importantly, we have our new generator. The generator arrived from Nairobi earlier this week and it’s now in place and up and running. The old generator was right on its last legs having outlived its expected time span by two years and was constantly failing. The replacement is a much better model and has an automatic switch over, so it will automatically kick-in as soon as the power fails – which it does all too frequently and often in the dead of night.The new one was paid for from money raised by an appeal with the lion’s share being raised by one young lady Natalie Gallagher, who asked for donations to Happy House instead of presents for her ninth birthday, Our huge thanks to Natalie and all those people who gave to our appeal – you have made such a difference and are ensuring that we can see the light any time we need to!
