Yesterday was Mashujaa Day in Kenya, a public holiday which brought a welcome day off from school for our Happy House children.
The day, also known as Heroes Day, remembers and honours those men and women, who fought in the fight for freedom and independence from British rule, many of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice.
From 1895 until 1963, the area that later became Kenya was under British Colonial rule as part of British East Africa. Morphin tells us how the children spent their day.
