In loving memory

It is two years today since the sudden death of our wonderful and inspirational founder Sue Hayward. There is never a day that goes by when her beloved husband, our Papa Dave, and the Happy House team don’t ask:  What would Mama say? What would Mama do? What would Mama want?It goes without saying that Papa  misses her every minute of every day. As a couple they were unseparable soulmates who would each call the other “the love of my life”.Papa Dave continues to oversee  the running of the Happy House along with a very efficient and devoted management team and our charity’s trustees. The Happy House continues to grow, to give a home to more children in need, and our halfway house is under development to provide temporary accommodation for those who must leave our residentail care at 18 but are still in education or vocational training and unable to support themselves. We are building the development in phases as finances allow and we desperately need more money to take it to completion. At school, we have opened our Junior Secondary School this year and continue to provide the best educational opportunities we can for our children.Everything we do is because of our Mama Sue.  She may not be a physical presence but she is still a driving force.Your family at the Happy Houses misses you Sue, and your extended family around the world misses you too.Sue, you said your journey to the Happy House was one of love, laughter and tears. As we hold you in our hearts we remember you with love, laughter and, yes, a few tears too.God bless you and thank you for all you were to each of us,

Together We Can Make Difference
