Keeping on top of maintenance work is vital at the Happy House. With so many children living in our family everything gets a great deal of wear and tear, but the elements – strong sun, salt in the air and heavy rains- take their toll on the fabric of the building. Our carpenter, Uncle Charo, is the expert on woodwork and at the moment he is sanding down and revarnishing woodwork. He is delighted to have the help of some of of youngsters who not only want to assist him but als want to learn more about his craft.
