A Happy House child, Samira, has been reunited with her parents for the first time in a number of years. Circumstancs forced her mum, a Maasai, to leave her in the care of relatives and later when family issues were identified, Samira was placed into our care by children’s services. She has flourished since that time. Her mum and dad have recently traced their daughter’s whereabouts and have been talking with her by telephone via our social worker Auntie Elina. They really wanted to see Samira in person and so, of course, we made that possible. We hope now that they will be able to remain in touch and get to know each other better.
