My Little Zen – who they are

Hayley Holuj and Lewis Hall, founders of My Little Zen, visited our family  to introduce and implement their yoga programme for our Happy House family. They were imoressed with the work they saw being done at Happy House and we are delighted that they were with us on a Saturday when all the family gathers for Kidz Club. It’s specially nice that Lewis comments on how our children and young people were empowered to speak out about anything they wanted to share, be it exam results or a problem they may have. Right from our earliest beginning, our founder, the late Mama Sue, would say: “Every child has a voice and they should never be afraid to use it.”  At the  first week of Kidz Club, 12 years ago, Mama asked if anyone had anything to share and one little girl, Rukia, stood up and said: “Mama, I don’t like cabbage.” To her relief, Mama’s reply was: “Well you don’t have to eat it.”We are hugely grateful to Lewis and Hayley for coming to visit and and excited abut our new friendship.*See earlier blog todau: Happy House Yoga https://www.childrenofwatamu.net/happy-house-sponsors/happy-house-yoga
