Mama Sue loved each an every one of the children who came into her care at Happy House. Serving their interests in improving their lives by providing a stable and loving family home and an education that is second to none, was her focus every waking moment. She worked tirelessly to make a difference and inspired all those she met. Through the charity she founded, Children of Watamu, Mama Sue made friends for her family throughout the world. The children adored her. She was loving and kind, but as they knew, could also be strict if they overstepped the mark. But they understood that her purpose was to guide them and to help them grow into strong, honest, empowered young people.
