A lot has happened in the lives of our Happy House children in the 13 years since we opened. ,With some when family circumstances improved we were able to repatriate them into the homes of a parent or a relative who wanted to have them home to grow up within their communities and who could provide for them. ,At the weekend three young women, now in their 20s, all of whom had come into our care as children and later been repatriated, returned with children of their own. ,They all live in the area of Msahaba, which lies between Gede and Malindi, and all are happily settled and providing for their babies. Jane is married with two children, her sister Zawadi and their friend Rose both have babies. ,Papa Dave was thrilled to see them and ever the joker said they could leave their babies, but they weren’t having that! ,They all know that Once Happy House kid, always a Happy House kid and that would be welcome to catch up on what is happening in our family now, to talk over old times and to join in Kidz Club just as they had as children.
