With parcels arriving for Christmas we have something of a dilemma at Happy House. It’s the cost of retreiving them from the Post Office. ,Papa explains in this video how one recent parcel with contents valued at £30 had cost £36 in import duty for us to claim. It had also cost the sender a generous and valued friend, £23.50 to post it. ,While we love having parcels and appreciate absolutely everything we receive, we do think it might be better to make a monetry donation and we will buy what clothes etc we can in Kenya. ,That way it’s cheaper for everyone and the children wil benefit in just the same way.
