At last, after a three-month drought, the rains have arrived in Watamu.
And our Happy House gardener, Uncle Tevin, is rejoicing because now the crops he and his colleagues have planted will now have a chance to grow strong and healthy.
He’s looking forward to getting more seeds and plants on the go to ensure that as much food as possible will be supplied to our kitchen to feed our hungry family of children.
The rain is also good news for our goats because some grass and more shrub will grow to give them better grazing.
It’s good news, indeed, no wonder the rains, in Kenya, are referred to as God’s blessing.
