Our wonderful friend DawnHeather White has turned Santa’s Christmas helper. ,Auntie Dawn, who arrived in Watamu two weeks ago, brought an extra bag of lovely new clothes for our Happy House children to have in their Christmas gift bags. ,Auntie Dawn is one of few people from the UK who have returned to Watamu since the pandemic began. ,She knew how the drop in visitors, and all the lovely things they so kindly bring for our kids, has left our store room sadly depleted and Santa scratching his head. ,She also knows how much the children love to have new clothes – which they call their safari clothes. While all clothing is worn and handed down until it wears out, having something brand new is a real treat. ,The items Auntie Dawn has brought will help Santa to deliver! ,Thank you Auntie Dawn. ,If you are travelling to Watamu before Christmas and can managed to take some clothes for our kids, ,we’d be really grateful. And if you are a UK traveller and are happy to take a few items bought by some of our friends please contact Elizabeth Gomm elizabethgomm@childrenofwatamu.net and she will put yu in touch. ,We are not asking for parcels to be posted but we would like to have some new clothes for each of our 60 children. ,If you would like to make a donation towards Christmas so we can buy items in Kenya please make a payment through Paypal https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/ChildrenofWatamu ,Any donation, howver small, will help make this Christmas special for our children. Thank you.
