Papa Dave is in the spotlight today as he brings an update from the Happy House.
While the good news is that the children are home for the holidays and that they’re welcoming the onset of the short rains which are bringing the gardens to life, there is some bad news.
And that is that despite all our efforts to appeal to those who sponsor our children to set up a standing order for their donations with our new bank after we forced to change after many years, a lot have forgotten, not had time or. sadly, chosen not to.
This will mean a big drop in income, the income we depend on to keep the 51 children living in our care at the Happy House and in school.
So we are now appealing for new sponors. People who would, for just £20 a month, like to ensure the future of a child from a background of dire need.
