Today, we are appealing to our Happy House friends to help us to buy new washing machines. ,With more than 50 children to wash for – school uniforms, playing out clothes, bedding, curtains and cushions, towels, etc our laundry is constantly busy. ,Both our automatic washers have failed us which means our Aunties are now doing all the laundry by hand which is both much more arduous and more time consuming. ,The machines were donated by some Italian friends almost eight years ago so despite regular maintenance it’s not surprising that they’ve now had enough. ,They could be repaired but the cost is excessive and getting parts is a nightmarish waiting game with no guarantee at the end of it.
