Sisters, Elizabeth and Zawadi, are the newest members of our big and welcoming Happy House family/ The two girls, entrusted to our care through children’s services department, had been living with their grandfather in the interior of Kalifi County which is suffering from two years of extreme drought. The children, were left with their grandpa when their mum went look for work. She didn’t return and with the old man unable to cope, they had been on the streets in search of food and water. They are now safe at Happy House and settling in with their new family of brothers and sisters, all of whom know what it is like to be the new arrival. Auntie Elina, our social worker, is on hand to ensure their transition is smooth and that they understand how much we welcome them. We will need sponsors for Zawadi and Elizabeth.
